In the extracted files choose the XML document then you should be able to upload it there and then. Save and continue to preview.
After you have the uploaded the theme go ahead and customize it to suit your desires.
Most of the side features and footer features will be useless so go ahead and delete them. Add links to your social networks and other media platforms.

Copy and paste the file in the robots.txt setting and then save. If the partner is approved with Google it will save automatically if you get and error look for another alternative and try gain.

Once you click on this you should be redirected to the google search console. Add your URL and you should be approved automatically because you are using a partner with Google.

The other way you can know is if the ranking sites have a social presence. If there are sites with literally no social presence then you should be good to go.
To do Keyword research is pretty simple all you need to do is find a product you want to promote on your new site.
Head over to Similarweb and search for that product domain name. Once it loads up head over to the bottom and look for the sites that are sending the most traffic to that product salespage.
Once you get a few sites that re sending good volumes of traffic then analyze these sites in a free keyword tool like Ubersuggest or Google keyword planner.
If you get unlimited chance to use Ubbersuggest then you can google the specific keyword and see what is ranking.
If you see much of Pinterest Pins, user generated content (forums) then you can easily outrank any of these sites even with a brand new blog if you have better quality content.
If you can’t find a product to promote then what you can do is search for a keyword in your niche and choose a website that already ranks in the search results then analyze that instead.
With Ubersuggest you should only write articles on your site that have a low competition of 20 and below.
