When you head over to Bluehost , Click The Get started button..

Then You will have to choose a plan for your Website. For this case we are going to choose the basic CA $3.95 Plan .

Choose a Domain name if you don’t already have one. You can purchase a domain name from Namecheap which is cheaper for some .

IF YOU HAVE A DOMAIN YOU CAN CONNECT IT EASILY WITH IN A FEW CLICKS AND THAT IS SIMPLER THAN CREATING A NEW WEBSITE SO YOU ARE ABLE TO DO THAT EASILY.

With Bluehost you get a free domain for a year which is more than enough to get you started and get monetizing your blog.

For this example we are going to use the simple pet niche domain name ilovecatsanddoggs.com as a demo.

I would recommend choosing a “.com” domain as its more valuable if you decide to sell your website down the road.

The most important step of the sign up process is that the plan you choose here as you start your blog or website is the renewal plan you will have to use once you are renewing your plan.

Once you have all this set up and ready to go you will be presented to your back end and you will set up your website.

The Next step is to Install WordPress to your website and get started then you will be up and running in less time.

We are going to choose a pricing plan and i would recommend you go for the starter plan which comes with a free SSL certificate and free domain ..

Therefore if you choose the 1 year plan or the 2 year plan to save more $12 a year on hosting.

Click on sign up now and you shall move on to the next page. You are now signing up for shared hosting with dream host

You will have the option to get a free domain from this step and go ahead and see if your domain is available with Dreamhost..

If Your desired domain is not available you will have an option to choose other alternative or register the domain with name cheap and add it to your dream host account.

If you have your domain simply go over to https://panel.dreamhost.com/ and then add your domain

Once you login into your Dreamhost dashboard you can add your domain easily and fast with in a few clicks.

Similar to Bluehost as you check out they would want you to have more features such as the dream shield which i think you don’t need while starting out..

The only feature you should leave unchecked is the pre — install wordpress feature..

when you make it to your final backend dashboard you will have WordPress already installed go ahead and create a password and set it all up ..

previously you had to do this all at once but the latest update makes it easier to install wordpress with in a few clicks .

THE MOST CRUCIAL IMPORTANT STEPS

You should ensure that when you install wordpress you , uninstalll any plugins that you may not need because the least number of plugins you have the faster your website will load

• Wp Forms
• Google site Kit (connects Google analytics and console directly to your website)

It is important to note that You shouldn’t run a lot of plugins on your website as it may slow it up.

It is important to have a fast and audience friendly website . These are all key factors and signs that Google looks at and will determine how they rank your website in the search results.

The Google site kit plugin will enable you have page speed insights directly in your dashboard show you improvements that are required and all the necessary insights as they happen on your site.

Finally ensure you have a site map in xml file and submit it to search engines like google to set up your site for indexing..

Your site map will ensure that Google gets to know about any updates you add to your site for example pages , posts and deleted posts / pages.

Ensure that your site has all The important pages which include The Disclaimer , Privacy Policy , Terms And Conditions , Contact us Page , About us page and Affiliate disclosures if you run any affiliate promotions on your site.

NOTE : With the recent updates and removal of the request indexing feature in the google search console , Pages and posts will usually take more time to appear in serps despite submitting your website sitemap to google.

For example let’s say our site is in the DIY niche and we would want to start writing articles for our blog .

We are going for low competition keywords ..

Head over to a site called answerthepublic.com and it should look like the one in the image below.

Answerthepublic.com is a keyword database that you can use to find gold nuggets with low competition and low search volumes.

As a new website you can easily rank in the top 10 search results without even having backlinks..

For example if you are in the pet niche you will enter keywords like “petfood’

“pet toys” , ‘dogs” ‘cats’ and so much more..

This will bring back keywords and content ideas to help you get started in most cases these keywords are queries asked over sites like Qoura , forums and social media.

These are the golden nuggets we should aim for and write as much content as possible about each of the keywords you researh
